Time for a admission of guilt: I only started this blog so I could see if it was as easy as the hype suggested. I'm writing a feature story about blogs for the daily newspaper where I work -- trying to explain the idea of blogs and blog "culture" to readers who, for the most part, are still pretty new to the idea of the Internet, much less the concept of keeping (or following) a regularly updated diary online. I hope that it becomes what I put in the subtitle -- something of a discourse on space/time and taste. I always shoot for the stars. Maybe that's why I'm so often disappointed. A country music singer I interviewed this week said that, if you aim low, you can avoid disappointment. I think I'd rather be disappointed, though.
